Excellence in critical care transport: 25 years in the making
It was more than 25 years ago that the groundwork was laid for what has become Boston MedFlight. Today we're one of the largest and longest established consortium-based critical care transport (CCT) services in the United States. What we first set out to create was a helicopter service to bring trauma patients to tertiary care facilities. 25 years of patient-centered care
At Boston MedFlight we have transported 43,000 patients since our
formation in 1985, and as our team members will testify, no two
transports are the same: each presents unique logistical and clinical
challenges. We are always delighted to speak with patients and their
families after the transport is complete. Although our care for patients
begins when we first meet, our concern for them and their families
never really ends.
